Channel 3 News (WKYC Cleveland Ohio) runs a story about the renovations at an RLI (Kenneth Ippolito) owned apartment building.
It used to be called The War-zone, an apartment complex in Euclid so filled with crime that management stopped collecting rent, and abandoned the buildings. Now, a major renovation project is helping to make the city safer.
The water damage was everywhere, the halls almost pitch black, and the rugs were soaked with human waste. Rolling Hills had 3000 code violations against it, including elevators that inspectors called "death traps". The water and heat would turn off without notice.
A $1.5 million renovation project by RLI Enterprises and owner, Ken Ippolito, turned Rolling Hills into Richmond hills. They gutted the building, and restored 198 apartments.
To help make the residents of the building feel even safer the building has installed fifty security cameras inside and outside of the building that are monitored 24 hours a day, giving residents peace of mind, in new apartments that is virtually brand new from the floor to the ceiling.
